Important Information to Know Before Visiting

Timings
Burj Khalifa:

November to December is open from 8:30 am to 11:00 pm.
The Burj Khalifa’s prime time, the busiest portions of the day, is from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. From 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm starting December 1, 2022.
Each slot is offered 30 minutes apart, and while entry times are assigned, guests are able to stay as long as desired after entering. Most guests, however, spend around 40 to 45 minutes on the viewing deck. The wait to board the elevator can take 15 to 30 minutes during busy times.

IMG Worlds of Adventure:

Sunday to Friday: 12pm–10pm
Saturday: 12pm–11pm

Important Information

Burj Khalifa:

  • Large bags and luggage are not permitted on the tower; they can be stored at the Secure Baggage Area by the entrance. 
  • Small bags, cameras, and personal items are permitted. 
  • Hot beverages can be enjoyed after returning from the observation level, but inside commercial photography is not allowed.

What are the opening hours for both attractions?

Burj Khalifa: Daily from 8:30am to 11pm (Prime Hours 3pm–6:30pm from 1 Dec 2022).

IMG Worlds of Adventure: Sunday–Friday 12pm–10pm, Saturday 12pm–11pm.

Is entry to Burj Khalifa time-specific?

Yes, entry is for a specific time, but you can stay as long as you want. The maximum time people spend is 40 to 45 minutes.

Are there any height or age restrictions at IMG Worlds of Adventure?

Children can enter for free as long as they are below 105 cm. There are rides for people of different age groups as well as family-friendly live shows.

Can I bring food or luggage inside?

Burj Khalifa: People are allowed to take small bags and cameras, but large bags are not allowed. There is no food allowed to be taken in.

IMG Worlds of Adventure: You are not allowed food. There are 28 different food and beverage outlets. Attending a theme park is not about food and beverage outlets.

Are there facilities for guests with disabilities?

With a POD ID, guests may receive a wristband for VIP fast-track access. For a minimal deposit or rental charge, wheelchairs and strollers may be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

We had a New Year's Eve event booked, which started at 8.30pm. Muzannil (Hassan) was our driver and guide. He said we would need to leave the hotel early as lots of roads were closing at 4pm. We parked in Dubai Festival City Mall car park. Hassan then took us to where the boat would leave from so that we would know. He then left us to explore the mall and arranged for us to meet later so that he could take us to the boat. We had a wonderful time and when we moored Hassan was waiting for us (we were late). Hassan took us back to our hotel through gridlocked roads. He eventually dropped us off about 1.30am. He was a wonderful guide- told us interesting facts and took care of us.
